The trial on "The world and everything in it is unplanned accident, existence is meaningless; the past is irrelevant; nothing matters." was specifically proven by all students playing their role from the two novels, Beowulf and Grendel. After the trial, I did not change my mind of my opinion. I still believe that the world and everything is an unplanned accident, existence is meaningless, the past is irrelevant, and nothing matters. Due to such detailed examples from the novel shown by our team members, it supported the main statement more clearly. For instance, the lawyers did a great job asking Grendel about whether he believes everything is unplanned or not by questioning specific happenings. Grendel answered with a reasonable answer to strengthen his own belief even though Grendel itself had a very vague decision of what to believe in. Also, the opposition team kept on judging about idealistic ideas which were not even mentioned in the book. When the opposition lawyers were attacking the Dragon, they did not really prove a point of asking the question, 'so do you know everything?' The lawyers were not moving from one topic. On the other hand, the Dragon from our team tried to refer back to the argument and led on the trial from staying just on one question. Due to our fluent ability to demonstrate detailed happenings from the novel, we were able to state that the world and everything is unplanned accident, existence is meaningless; the past is irrelevant; nothing matters'.
